Best Pinot Noir wines

I'm not going to quote the movie Sideways or make any bold statements about how Pinot Noir is the best wine in the world. It is definitely a difficult grape to harvest due to it's thin skin and it is temperamental during vinification which is why it's called the "heart break" grape. The wine it produces is complex, layered and subtle in it's aromas and flavours. I like to pair Pinot Noir's with pork dishes like stuffed pork chops, sausages or ribs.
Here's some of my favourite Pinot Noir's.

2011 Cono Sur Bicicleta Pinot Noir - Chile

I originally tasted this wine at the Ottawa Wine and Food Show. An impressive Pinot Noir at this price point.

Price - under $11 (LCBO 341602)

2011 Chanson Pere & Fils Le Bourgogne Pinot Noir - Burgundy France

A long established winery in Burgundy producing quality Pinot Noir's. Light ruby red in colour with Flavours of cherry and a nice violet aroma. Slightly acidic with a medium long cherry finish.

Price - Under $22 (LCBO Vintages 50575)

2010 Rodney Strong Estate Pinot Noir - Russian River Valley, Sonoma County, California

Really nice Pinot Noir from one of the leading vineyards in the Russian River Valley. Plum and dark fruit with some vanilla notes which comes from the 10 months stored in small french oak barrels.

Price - under $25 (LCBO Vintages - 954834)

Cheers !
